Kakslauttanen’s traditional smoke saunas are heated for hours for the optimal experience. Step in, smell the wood and feel the comfortable warmth and moist on your skin. Sit down, lean back, close your eyes and allow your mind and body rest. To complete the experience, we recommend trying the ice pool next to the sauna, rolling in the snow or taking a cold shower. Also, you might want to return to the warmth of the sauna afterwards!
While you are in Finland, going to a sauna is an essential part of your holidays!
Temperatures outside the sauna and ice pool can be sharply cold; dressing in layers helps you stay comfortable after your session.
Everyone entering the ice pool must be able to swim safely—this ensures you can fully enjoy the cold plunge without risk.
Check in advance as the ice pool may not be ready early or late in the season due to fluctuating conditions.
The smoke sauna and ice pool combination takes roughly two hours, allowing time to relax and alternate between heat and cold safely.
