This trip is oriented towards the experienced angler or anglers who are looking to explore the nearby brooks searching for wild trout species. These trips require hiking and casting around boulders with small rods and light tackle (2-3 weights) in our Half-Day/Full-Day excursion. Call to book.
Fishing License: Vermont Fishing licenses will be required if you fish on water (Under 16 not required). Youth License required for 17 year olds. A link to purchase this license will be sent via your booking confirmation email.
Transportation: After meeting your guide and getting outfitted, you will follow the guide in your own vehicle to the fishing location if you are casting on water.
Equipment & Gear: We will provide Orvis equipment and gear. Full rod set up, flies, leader, tippet, waders, boots, vest, wading stick or you are welcome to bring your own.
Clothing: Layers are good. Dress for the temperature. Please bring a long sleeve shirt, hat and polarized glasses are helpful.
A 3-5 weight fly rod is ideal for maneuvering narrow streams and targeting wary trout.
Stream beds can be slippery and rocky; traction aids keep you safe while casting from the water.
Confirm catch-and-release rules and any seasonal restrictions before your trip to stay compliant.
