About

This ain't Disney World!!! While New Orleans Airboat Tours, LLC is located just 35 minutes from downtown New Orleans, we're just about as far as you can get from a prefab, artificial experience. The Louisiana wetlands are nature's amusement parks. Our swamp tours are authentic adventures – thrilling, enlightening and, most importantly, real.

Swamp People! We are the real Swamp People!!! For well over 150 years, the swamp and bayous of Louisiana have been our family's home and backyard. For all of this time, we have trapped and hunted the fur-bearing animals that live in the marsh and swamp of Cajun Country.

We are family-owned and operated by three generations who still make their living in the swamp. Everything you see on TV about the swamp people, we still do today. We make a living hunting alligators, harvesting alligator eggs, hunting nutria, fishing crabs, catching fish, and trawling for shrimp in the bayous and lakes of Louisiana. Our family and our captains are all childhood friends who have grown up making their living in the same way.

The most valuable treasure we can ever leave our children and future generations is the love and knowledge we have for the swamp and marshes of Louisiana Cajun Country.

Q&A

What to wear? If it's hot, wear shorts, T-shirts, sandals, flip-flops, a hat, sunglasses, and definitely apply sunscreen. If it's cold, bring a coat and gloves. You will be exposed to the elements of nature, so dress accordingly.

If it's raining? We do operate during periods of spotty moments of rain, so you will need a poncho. We sell ponchos at the airboat site.

Are mosquitoes a problem? No, they aren't – not once you're onboard the boat and throughout the tour.

What not to bring? Don't wear expensive jewelry or clothing. Remember, you are going on an airboat tour in the wetlands. Jewelry can fall off of you and has a chance of getting lost forever in our wetlands.

Pregnant? Sorry, but you will not be allowed to board the airboat if you're pregnant. Also, if you have a neck or back injury, you will not be allowed onboard the airboat.

Age limit?
Five years old is our minimum age limit.

Can we tip the guide? If you think you're guide has done a great job, please show your appreciation by tipping.

Parking available? Plenty of free parking is available.
