Discover Kanab’s striking slot canyons with Coral Cliffs Tours. Expert guides, rugged backcountry rides, and less-crowded routes make this outfitter a must for Utah’s red rock adventure seekers.
Kanab, Utah, often called the gateway to some of the Southwest’s most captivating red rock landscapes, is home to Coral Cliffs Tours—an outfitter that specializes in intimate, hands-on slot canyon and backcountry jeep excursions. Situated near iconic landmarks like the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument and Vermilion Cliffs, Coral Cliffs offers access to rugged terrains less traveled by commercial tours, making it a standout option for adventurers seeking authenticity and local knowledge.
Coral Cliffs Tours crafts trips around slot canyon gems such as Peekaboo Slot Canyon, White Pocket, Great Chambers, and The Huntress. These trips weave together geology-rich landscapes carved by millennia of water and wind, featuring striking Navajo sandstone formations, narrow passageways, natural arches, and ancient pictographs. Clients consistently highlight the guides’ deep expertise—born and raised in the area—who bring stories, history, and safety into every step and rappel. Their friendly, patient approach especially shines on trips with youth groups or families, helping newcomers overcome fears while capturing jaw-dropping photos along the way.
A core part of the Coral Cliffs experience is traversing challenging 4x4 backcountry roads to reach these secluded sites. Jeep rides through bumpy terrain add adrenaline to the journey while ensuring comfort and safety under expert guidance. Because these locations often avoid the crowds typical of nearby Antelope Canyon or Zion, visitors enjoy a quieter, more contemplative connection with the landscape.
Coral Cliffs Tours also adjusts tour schedules flexibly, accommodating private bookings and last-minute plans. Whether you’re after a day of harnessed rappelling in The Huntress or a scenic walk through a kid-friendly slot canyon, this local outfitter delivers adventure with heart and precision. For anyone wanting a truly immersive Southwest slot canyon trip, Coral Cliffs Tours in Kanab offers a uniquely grounded, expertly led experience that opens up Utah’s hidden vistas without sacrificing ease or safety.
