Southwark developed as an entertainment and trading district outside medieval City restrictions — home to theatres, markets, Winchester Palace, and the notorious Clink prison.
Recent riverside regeneration balances new development with conservation of historic structures; visitors are encouraged to use public transport and avoid littering to protect fragile urban heritage.
Hobnob Tours operates guided outdoor trips and adventures with an emphasis on safety, stewardship, and memorable experiences.
