Respect Pickup Windows
Arrive within the posted pickup times to avoid late fees and ensure staff have time to fit PFDs and explain equipment.
Return Boats Clean
Rinse and remove debris before return to avoid the minimum $60 cleaning charge and to prevent spreading invasive species.
Secure Your Load
Use the supplied foam blocks and camlock straps—ratchet straps are not permitted and can damage hulls.
Pack for Wet Weather
Bring a dry bag and extra layers; weather on the river can change quickly and wet clothing chills quickly after sunset.
Personal dry bag
Keeps clothing and electronics dry during multi-day trips.
Proper-fitting paddling PFD (if you prefer your own)
Rental PFDs are supplied but some paddlers prefer their own fit and sizing.
Headlamp or waterproof flashlight
Useful for late returns, campsite tasks, and required by regulations (note rentals don’t include one).
