Experience a unique camping getaway at our central multi-use site, perfect for tents and small campervans. Enjoy a short stroll to geothermal pools, relax in nature, and unwind without the distractions of Wi-Fi. With facilities nearby and a cozy café, this is an ideal retreat for 2-4 people.

About

Non-Powered (No Electricity) and not suitable for Roof Top Tents. The dimensions for a campervan are 5m long x 2.8m wide. The dimensions for a tent are 5m long x 3m wide. Site 21 is suitable for a medium non-powered tent and/or small non-powered campervan. Located in the most central part of the campground, the facilities and geothermal pools are only a short, 50 metre walk away. This site is suitable for 2-4 people.

  • Pools begin to drain at 7.15pm and are closed at 8pm
  • Reception Hours are 10am to 7.30pm
  • Check in is 2pm unless you purchase an early check in when booking.
  • Check out is at 11am.
  • Sorry no Wifi Available and cellphone reception is limited.
  • $4 washed and Dryers ($2 coins only). Soap power is available at reception
  • No dump station on site. Closest is Rotorua.
  • Drying Shed is located near site 12.
  • Absolutely no drones
  • No pets during public holidays (long weekends) or peak season (1st December - 31st January)
  • All persons must wear swim wear appropriate for public bathing.
  • Children must be actively supervised at all times.

CAFE

  • Open for coffee and hot food from 11.30am - 6pm. Hours are subject to change based on busyness of the complex.
  • Menu available on request.

No smoking or vaping permitted in campground within any part of the complex at any time. Smoking permitted main driveway area only.

There’s no Wi-Fi and limited cellphone reception; come prepared to disconnect and immerse fully in the surroundings.

Use Appropriate Swimwear

Waikite Valley Hotpools requires visitors to wear proper swimwear in the public pools to maintain hygiene and respect local customs.

Pack for Non-Powered Camping

Since there’s no electricity at Site 21, bring your own lighting, cooking gear, and power banks for essentials.

Respect Quiet Hours and Pool Closures

Pools close at 8 pm and quiet hours help maintain a peaceful environment—plan your evenings accordingly.
