Sip, Savor, and Discover: Wasatch Distillery Tastings

Tastings at Wasatch (location not provided) offers a compact, focused tasting room experience built for people who care about the craft behind a glass. In a 30-minute guided session, groups of up to ten are led through samples of award-winning gin, a gold-medal whiskey, and a signature coffee liqueur. The setting is warm and conversational: a short, staffed tasting bar where sensory detail, provenance, and production choices take center stage. This experience is called Tastings; it is described as a guided tasting of gin, whiskey, and coffee liqueur, with staff narrating the stories behind each bottle. The format is ideal for a quick afternoon stop or a first look at local distilling - learners leave with a clearer sense of botanicals, barrel influence, and how a coffee liqueur balances roast and spirit. Practical notes: the session runs about 30 minutes, minimum age for tasting is 21, and persons under 21 may attend the tour only when accompanied by a guardian but cannot participate in tastings. The maximum group size is ten, which keeps the experience intimate and allows time for questions. Why this matters to visitors: boutique distilleries are often where flavor and place meet - this tasting makes those links explicit. Staff-led pours highlight how grain selection, still shape, and finishing choices produce distinct aromas and mouthfeel. The coffee liqueur is a standout for visitors who want to taste a locally framed confection - roaster and roast level influence are called out during the pour. The gold-medal gin and whiskey give a quick comparative lesson in botanical blending and maturation. This business functions as a doorway into the local recreational scene: after a tasting, visitors often continue to nearby trails, rivers, or downtown eateries to pair the experience with the region's food and outdoor offerings. The rules are straightforward - no smoking, no unaccompanied minors, and no bare feet - so plan accordingly. Bring a photo ID if you want to taste, and arrive a few minutes early to ensure your spot in the small group. For travelers short on time but curious about craft spirits, this tasting delivers concentrated education and memorable flavors. It's an accessible way to sample locally produced, award-winning bottles, ask precise questions of trained staff, and leave with a new appreciation for how thoughtful production turns simple ingredients into distinctive spirits. Plan to arrive hungry for stories: operators favor direct conversation over scripted tours, so bring questions about botanicals, aging, and sourcing. Small groups mean you can ask about tasting technique and bottle finishes. If you're visiting with non-drinking companions, the tour option for under-21s allows everyone to see production without tasting. For a compact, high-value stop between hikes or drives, Tastings provides a fast, informative, and flavorful local snapshot. Worth every minute.
