Our jeeps can take up to 7 people
Climb aboard our vintage Portuguese 4x4s and tackle the best of the Sintra region. In just one day you’ll explore the mysterious Quinta da Regaleira and eat a traditional Portuguese lunch (with wine, of course) before cruising off-road through Sintra’s lush forests, to emerge at the seaside cliffs of mainland Europe’s westernmost point, Cabo da Roca.
Our restored ex-military 4WDs look cool as hell, sure, but they’re also the best way to tackle the terrain west of Lisbon, passing from hilltop castles to the sheer coastline of the UNESCO world heritage landscape. We take you to secret lookouts and hidden beaches no other tourists can reach, blasting music the whole time. In summer, feel the breeze whip through your hair as we bounce along off-road tracks with the roof off. In the cooler months we keep the roof on, turn the music up, splash through puddles of mud as we swerve past house-sized boulders, pine forests and giant ferns.
Our adventures are about the journey, not just the destination. This is why we love to go off-road, snap Polaroid pictures at the coast, play epic tunes all day long and give you the chance to taste Sintra’s traditional sweet “travesseiro” pastry and homemade “ginja” liqueur.
We want you to finish your day feeling like you really know the place. Join us for an unforgettable day of adventure, laughs and local legends.
Stop one Start the day at Quinta da Regaleira, an historic palace and lush gardens filled with mystery, metaphors and underground passages. Stop two We’ll stop at a few unnamed, epic lookouts on the way to lunch at a traditional Portuguese restaurant in one of our villages – expect fresh, grilled fish or meat with plenty of vinho! Where we go changes depending on the day (and what the special dishes of the day are, plus dietary needs of course). Stop three Welcome to the edge of the earth: Cabo da Roca. The stunning cliffs and lighthouse mark the westernmost point on mainland Europe. Stop four Soak in the stunning coastline as we take the scenic route past famous Guincho Beach towards the beautiful fishing village of Cascais. Before we say farewell we’ll taste Sintra’s century-old local sweet pastry, with homemade liqueur. From here you can take the train back to Lisbon or ride with us back to Sintra station.
