The coach threads out of Lisbon before dawn and the hills of Sintra begin to rise like an argument against the flat city: vaulting rock, patches of umbrella pines and villas clinging to slopes. You arrive at Pena Palace where bright stucco and crenellated towers sit on a granite outcrop; the air smells of resin and ocean even before you reach the cliffs.

The tour runs approximately 8–10 hours with hotel pickup from Lisbon and includes guided time in Sintra, Pena Palace exterior/optional gardens visit, a stop at Cabo da Roca and time in Cascais.
