Azenhas do Mar is a coastal village in the municipality of Sintra with a very picturesque landscape. In the village can be seen several interesting buildings with tiled facades. This is an essencial place to visit in all the tourist tours.
Praia da Maçãs
Located 10 km from Sintra, this beach is one of the best well known in the area. Visitors are impressed by the imposing cliffs, golden sands and clear waters of Praia das Maçãs. Near the beach there is a saltwater swimming pool.
This beach is usually attended by the inhabitants of Sintra and Colares, but also by lovers of recreational fishing, surfing, paragliding and even Kite surfing.
Praia Grande
This beach is part of the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park and is known for the excellent conditions for surfing and its natural surroundings. Near the beach there is the biggest oceanic saltwater pool in Europe. On the opposite side, there are traces of dinosaur footprints on the cliff.
Cabo da Roca
Next, discover the most westerly point of continental Europe. From the cliff tops, enjoy the fantastic view of the beaches and the sea. From the road near the coast, you can gaze at the beaches and the beautiful towns of Estoril and Cascais.
Guincho Beach
On the way back, we will have the chance to enjoy this unique beach with its famous dunes. A real sanctuary for surf, windsurf and kitesurf.

And of course we can’t leave without visiting the charming town of Cascais. This former fishing village used to be a royal getaway.
