Headphones click on. The street lights of Uptown Charlotte slide past in rhythm as a small crowd finds its pace — part walking tour, part moving party. The format is simple: synced wireless headphones put your soundtrack in your ears while a guide calls out landmarks, anecdotes, and the best blocks for a quick groove. The city answers with its concrete and brick, glass towers and shaded historic streets, and you move through it.

Charlotte’s name honors Queen Charlotte of Mecklenburg-Strelitz; the city grew from a 18th-century crossroads into a banking and cultural center blending historic neighborhoods with modern development.
Be mindful of neighborhood residents and public spaces: keep noise respectful after dark, carry out any trash, and stick to sidewalks and designated crossings to minimize impact.
