Meeting At The Range First, we will meet at Tenoroc Public Shooting Range front office. We begin at 9:00am with a short history of the business and an introduction to the range, rules and regulations. Tenoroc is NOT affiliated with FL Firearms Adventures. They are a public range managed and operated by the state of Florida. We will be with you for the entire day. We love to learn about you and where you're from. Please don't be shy. Next we'll head out to the range where we'll give a firearms and range safety briefing; eye/ear protection, firearms, ammo, etc will all be provided.
This particular experience is different from the rifle and pistol events that we offer. During those events, you shoot at static paper targets. During this event, your targets will fly like a frisbee. These targets are clay disks thrown by machines around, or near, the shooting stations. Some of the machines are hidden. When you hit a target they shattered/break into small pieces. This was designed for the bird hunter looking to hone their skills. YouTube search "what is sporting clays".
This event is a little more advanced, but still a lot of fun for the novice or inexperienced. Breaks will be taken as needed.
Safety is key—eye and ear protection is mandatory during all shooting activities.
Closed-toe shoes and weather-appropriate clothing help you stay focused and safe on the range.
Bring water to stay hydrated, especially during Florida’s warm months.
Arriving on time ensures you get the full safety briefing and maximize your shooting time.
The Tenoroc Public Shooting Range sits on land formerly mined for phosphate, a key Florida industry for decades.
Shooter education includes respect for the environment and local wildlife to minimize impact during events.
Protects hearing from the loud sounds of shotgun blasts.
Guards against Florida sun exposure during outdoor shooting.
