Morning light slices the Annapurna range and you step out of Pokhara into a different pace: dirt track, pine-scented air, and a steady climb toward a ridge village where the peaks claim the horizon. The trail begins at Phedi and works up through an older village route, threading forest and terraces until Dhampus opens like a stage—Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), Annapurna South and distant Dhaulagiri framed in raw, stony geometry.
