Sheffield Whisky and Chocolate Pairing: Integrity Malts X Bullion at Leah's Yard

Down a narrow cobbled lane in Sheffield city centre sits Chocolate Bar at Leah’s Yard, the intimate venue for Integrity Malts X Bullion Chocolate Pairing. This 90-minute tasting takes place at Chocolate Bar, Leah’s Yard, 20-22 Cambridge St, Sheffield S1 4HJ, and pairs four full-strength cask whiskies with bean-to-bar chocolates made in Sheffield. It’s a city-centre evening that reads like a short, focused education in provenance: Integrity Malts’ founders Jared and Ilya select and bottle non-chill-filtered, full natural cask-strength releases, while Bullion Chocolate Factory, founded by Max Scotford, brings award-winning, sustainability-minded craft chocolate to the table. The event begins with an Old-Fashioned made with cask-strength Glen Moray and Bullirum Cocoa Nib Liqueur, then moves through four pairings — Arran 10, Highland Park 22, a Staoisha, and the Steel City Whisky second edition — each matched to a Bullion chocolate and introduced with stories about flavour, bean origin, and the local creative collaboration with artist Luke Horton. That pairing of art, craft spirits and bean-to-bar chocolate makes this more than a tasting; it’s a social laboratory for tasting texture and trade history in one compact experience. Practical details are clear: the session runs about 1.5 hours on the evening of 29th October 2026, starts at 7PM, and is limited to 12 guests. The minimum age is 18; the tasting is suitable for vegetarians but contains dairy—guests with allergies should flag them when booking. Tickets are £47.50 via the FareHarbor booking link provided by the operator. Why book it? For visitors to Sheffield who want a concise, expertly guided evening that highlights the city’s independent food and drink scene, this pairing hits the sweet spot. Leah’s Yard itself is a slice of Sheffield industrial heritage — brick workshops and alleyways — and bringing modern craft chocolate and small-batch whisky into that setting creates a pleasing contrast between raw urban fabric and refined flavors. The event also serves as an accessible primer for those curious about cask strength whisky: learn how finishing, peat, and cocoa interplay across a four-pour lineup without committing to a full tasting course. Pair this tasting with an evening wandering the Winter Garden or a short tram ride to Kelham Island for breweries and riverside views. Whether you’re a local intrigued by a new producer or a visitor looking for an evening that’s distinctly Sheffield, Integrity Malts X Bullion Chocolate Pairing is compact, convivial and crafted to leave you with new favourites — and a better sense of how chocolate and whisky talk to each other. Book early for the limited 12-person seats, bring ID to confirm age, and plan to arrive a few minutes before 7PM to make the most of the guided tasting, and savor new pairings.
