Discover the gentle rhythm of farm life with Sheep Trekking at Frankly Farm. Walk beside sheep, learn farm skills, and soak in rural tranquility on this unique outdoor activity.
An animal adventure with a difference that's frankly unforgettable.
Our farm is not just home to our lovely alpaca herd. We've also given a home to two herds of sheep, a group of 3 Ouessant Sheep, the smallest sheep in the worlds and a group of male Shropshire Sheep from our near neighbours at Windy Ridge. They have no useful purpose and would otherwise be destined for the slaughterhouse - but we've given them a second life as the most quirky walking buddies you've ever met.
So, join us with a friend or loved one to meet a sheep and take it for a stroll around the farm.
On arrival at our farm in Shropshire, you will join us in The Old Barn, our specially converted indoor space, where your experience will begin with a quick health and safety briefing. Then, we will walk across the courtyard to the holding pen where the sheep will be waiting.
You'll meet the friendly and occasionally stubborn sheep and learn all about the different breeds. Then, once you’ve become acquainted with your new friend, you'll go for a short stroll together around the perimeter of the farm, keeping an eye open for the alpacas in the field alongside you. At the end of the track, you'll get an opportunity to feed your sheep and take photos before swapping over and heading back to the courtyard.
You'll love the sheep and be delighted with their friendly and gentle nature. You may even get a baa or two!
For safety reasons, this experience is for people aged over 13, as sheep can be strong-willed animals!
