About

Shark River is a coastal tidal bay, but we call it Shark River. It has shallow depths at low tides, but decently strong currents at high tide and often times coastal winds. We call this fun!! Sometimes the river is "flat like a lake" and you can float around but most times you will encounter more moments that require effort than not. If you are interested in a flat water or are a beginner, please ask us about the guided paddles on Deal Lake (Asbury Park).

Our approach is to make it easy for people to access and enjoy a leisurely kayak adventure on Shark River while sharing our knowledge and experience in paddlesports. Our goal is to provide a learning based but fun and safe experience for our participants.

We also love sharing our passion for Shark River and it's history, the wildlife, the ecology and the wonder of our beautiful tidal basin (salt water).
