About the tour
Atelier Mlin Umetnin is located in the idyllic town of Osredek, just a few kilometres south of Šentjur. Surrounded by nature, by a babbling brook, you will find our restored farmhouse with a water-powered mill that is over 200 years old. Its wheel is still turning. Here, conscious of our duty to respectfully preserve the cultural heritage of our ancestors, and to continually draw inspiration from the wonders of nature, we add a new chapter to the story of the ancient crafts of milling and pottery.
Workshop on the basics of shaping on the potter's spindle (for children and adults)
Creating with clay is known to be relaxing and calming, a kind of occupational therapy. Creating with clay allows us to discover new insights and wonderful inner feelings. Clay is a natural material, and when we touch it, we connect with nature and are enriched by the energy of natural gifts.
