The area falls within the network of marine sites that support traditional Bajau coastal communities; local guides often point out fishing methods and the seasonal rhythms that shape reef life.
On a night dive you’ll hunt for the small and strange: flamboyant cuttlefish folding like inked paper, frogfish camouflaged against rubble, pygmy seahorses clinging to gorgonians, and the occasional blue-ringed octopus hiding under rubble. Guides use focused search patterns and red-filtered lights to reduce disturbance while highlighting tiny subjects.
