Osnabrück’s historic center reflects its role in the 1648 Peace of Westphalia and centuries of Hanseatic and bishopric influence, visible in its Rathaus and cathedral precincts.
Stick to public paths, avoid trampling green spaces near the river, and pack out any litter; small-group, low-impact tourism helps protect fragile historic surfaces.
