Adventure Tips

Plan for variable weather

Northern Ireland’s climate is unpredictable; bring layers and waterproof gear for forest walks or the Stairway to Heaven hike.

Reserve leisure facilities early

Facilities like the swimming pool and sauna may require booking in advance during peak times—check with reception on arrival.

Follow trail markers on Cuilcagh

The Stairway to Heaven has well-marked paths, but it’s steep and exposed in sections; stick to trails to protect fragile bog ecosystems.

Bring snacks and water for day trips

Local shops are nearby, but packing provisions for hikes ensures you stay fueled without detours.
