Bluebird Air Tours is a small Sedona-based flight operator specializing in private scenic flights over northern Arizona. Operating from Sedona, Arizona, the company offers intimate aerial experiences in a high-wing Cessna 172 named 'Blue,' giving passengers expansive views and accessible photography opportunities. Bluebird Air Tours designs each flight to highlight iconic landmarks such as Cathedral Rock and Bell Rock, the red rock formations that define the Sedona skyline.
Pilots are experienced local aviators who provide guided narration, route flexibility, and photography tips during flights, helping guests frame memorable images and learn about regional geology and landmarks. Trip options include the Canyon Cruise, a private aerial tour focused on Sedona’s signature cliffs; the Sunset Flight, timed to capture twilight over red rocks in warm colors; and Mesa 2 Peak, which extends north toward the San Francisco Peaks and Flagstaff to show Ponderosa forests and mountain vistas.
Safety follows standard general aviation practices for light aircraft operations, and flights operate as private charters tailored to small groups seeking personal attention. Reservations are typically required given the private nature of the service and the limited seating aboard a Cessna 172. Bluebird Air Tours emphasizes personalized service, local knowledge, and direct access to aerial perspectives that are not available from ground-based tours. For travelers seeking photographic vantage points, intimate flight experiences, and knowledgeable local pilots, Bluebird Air Tours provides a focused way to see Sedona and northern Arizona from the air. Booking and scheduling information is available through Bluebird Air Tours' online reservation channels.
