The engine hums and the headlights carve a path as the Jeep climbs away from Sedona, the full moon painting the sandstone cliffs silver. City lights hang below like a distant constellation; the rock walls, abruptly vertical, seem to lean in. On a night run along the old wagon track that once linked Sedona and Flagstaff, the landscape feels alive — the canyon breathes cool air and the moon dares you to look farther.

Children are allowed but should meet age and restraint guidelines from the operator; pregnant travelers should consult their physician and inform the guide due to rough terrain.
You may spot nocturnal animals like owls or coyotes from a distance; guides avoid disturbing wildlife and keep the group on established track.
This tour is offered as a private experience with free cancellation per the operator’s policy; check the booking link for specific terms and timing.
The trail follows routes used in the late 19th century to connect settlements; local Indigenous communities, including the Yavapai-Apache, have longstanding ties to these plateaus.
Stick to vehicle and walking routes to protect cryptobiotic soils and fragile desert vegetation; many operators limit groups and use existing tracks to reduce impact.
