Early light spills over the Bohai Sea and the promenade glints like a promise. On this half‑day walk, the ocean dares you forward along Chenxi Beach while the skyline pushes back with glass faces and deliberate geometry. You move between both: steep coastal steps that breathe salt into your lungs, and wide, paved avenues framed by contemporary plazas.

Moderate — you should be comfortable on stairs and short steep sections; good for regular walkers.
The tour runs about 3–4 hours; you can pick the mountain hiking route, the modern architecture walk, or combine both for a longer half‑day.
It includes stepped and sometimes steep sections; people with moderate fitness who can handle stairs will generally be fine.
There are public restrooms and small food vendors near the promenade and in Donggang; mountain trail sections are more limited.
Photography is encouraged; guides who are photographers may offer shots—confirm whether edited images are included in your booking.
Dalian grew as a strategic port in the late 19th century under Russian and Japanese influence; that history shaped its grid, bathhouses, and early industrial districts.
Coastal erosion and visitor litter are local concerns—stick to marked paths, avoid disturbing tidal pools, and pack out trash to protect fragile shore ecosystems.
