The sea pushes forward and you lean into it, scooter humming beneath your chest as the shoreline of Cap d’Ail slips into a band of blue-green. You step off the pebbled beach and glide over rock gardens and ribboned seagrass, stopping to watch an octopus vanish into a crevice while small fish wheel above the posidonia beds.
