Embark on an exhilarating 5-hour kayaking adventure from Portsalon Pier to Fanad Lighthouse, exploring stunning caves, hidden beaches, and sea stacks along the way. Spot dolphins and seals while enjoying a guided tour of the lighthouse. This unique experience promises breathtaking views and unforgettable memories for seasoned paddlers.

Using the Sea Coditions and Weather to Our Beifit undertaking the Kayaking Tour Between Portsalon Pier and Fanad Light House on Lough Swilly, beyond the Atlantic Ocean.
Checking out the Portsalon Caves and hidden beaches, many sea stacks, hidden beach, The 7 Arches, Drum Na Creag Beach, The Pollad Great Arch and Fanad Light House for a Coffee and a Snack followed by a tour of the Light House.
There is always time for spotting some dolphins, seals, mink, sea otter and wild birds.
The Tour is 15 km in distance and 6 hours duration and best suited to paddlers with some sea kayaking experience.
Tour is not suitable for 1st time kayakers, children under 16years, those with poor physical fitness or lower back problems.
Please bring your own wetsuit if you have one, if not please let us know what size you need and we will book one for you. Bring lots of food and fluids as you will need to keep your energy levels up. Old runners or footwear are essential and light rain jacket, ensure you have a water proof pouch for your phone or camera.
Please arrive 30min early to get parked and to get gear sorted. Tour starting from Portsalon Pier. If the weather and sea condition are showing signs of change we may start the tour at Fanad Light House and Paddle to Portsalon, we will make you aware of this change.
Bring a wetsuit or suitable water clothing to stay warm and dry during the kayak trip.
Ensure good weather to avoid rough seas; paddling is safest in calm conditions.
Use binoculars to spot marine wildlife like dolphins and seals from a distance.
Getting to the launch point early ensures a relaxed prep and briefing before heading out.
