About

Enriched air, also known as nitrox or EANx, contains less nitrogen than regular air. Breathing less nitrogen means you can enjoy longer dives and shorter surface intervals. It's no wonder, Enriched Air Diver, is the most popular scuba specialty class. Offered as a theory-based class with a dive day (2 dives) with your instructor for hands-on experience.

Adventure Tips

Review Nitrox Basics Before Class

Familiarize yourself with nitrox theory to make the most of the classroom session and practical dives.

Stay Hydrated Before Diving

Caribbean sun and diving can dehydrate you quickly—drink plenty of water to reduce risks of decompression sickness.

Practice Buoyancy Control

Smooth buoyancy is key underwater; it ensures safety for fragile reefs and improves your dive experience with nitrox.

Check Your Dive Computer Settings

Set your dive computer to nitrox mode with your specific oxygen mix to get accurate no-decompression calculations.
