What to Expect

Prior to showing up for the first day of dive training, divers must complete the digital course materials, which is purchased separately through the training agency (PADI). Please allow up to 10-12 hours to complete materials before your class!

On your first day of training, we’ll meet at the shop, get you fitted for the equipment you’ll be using in class, and we’ll administer a quick quiz to make sure you’ve absorbed all that eLearning! After that, we’ll head down to the dive site where the real fun begins. We’ll learn to set up equipment, complete a 200 yard swim and 10 minute float/tread and yes, we’ll also go diving.

On the second and third days, students will typically meet their instructors at the dive site. After our dives on the final day, we’ll reconvene at the shop for a short classroom session to fill in any knowledge gaps, complete logbooks and certifications, and take a tour of the dive shop.

Students ARE required to provide all of their own transportation to and from the dive sites, so please plan accordingly.
