About Shipwreck & Shallow Reef (Two Tanks)

  • The C-56 JUAN ESCUTIA SHIPWRECK (90 ft/27 m maximum depth).
  • This WWII era US Navy minesweeper was donated to Mexico and scuttled in 2000 to make an artificial reef and is now fully encrusted in corals.
  • We often see spotted eagle rays, sting rays, schools of bait fish, barracuda and sometimes the resident green moray eel.
  • Maximum depth of 90 ft (27 m).
  • Second dive is at a vibrant coral reefs with a maximum depth of 50 ft (15 m).
  • Divers should be experienced with Advanced Open Water certification or greater and have been diving recently.
