This Educational Tour departs the historic port of South Freeport, Maine in the Harraseeket River. Learn about Aquaculture’s role in the greater ecosystems of Casco Bay and the Gulf of Maine. Dive into the biology and ecology of our local waters with our Science Team. Help collect scientific samples and learn about the methods sea farmers are using to grow different species. From phytoplankton and kelp, to lobster, mussels and oysters, join us to discover what’s below the surface. All while taking in the sights and sounds of beautiful Casco Bay.
Water is provided at no charge. If you'd like to bring your own beverages we have a cooler full of ice to keep them nice and cold.

State Law requires all passengers 10 years and younger must wear an appropriate USCG approved life jacket at all times while onboard.
Please be aware that the boat is equipped with some life jackets for children, but they are for very specific weight ranges. Please confirm that we have appropriate sized children's life jackets onboard if any children (ages 0-10) will be joining your party.
