Enjoy a luxurious journey along the Dean Forest Railway behind one of our steam locomotives, travelling on board our First Class Hawksworth Inspection Saloon.

Your journey begins at Norchard Station (GL15 4ET), travelling south to Lydney Junction, where toilet facilities are available during the 20 minute break there whilst the engine runs round. and then north to Parkend, where there will be another 20 minute break (with toilets available on the platform) for the engine to run around, before returning to Norchard.

Spaces on board the inspection saloon are incredibly limited, so advance booking is highly recommended to guarantee a first class seat.

Please note, bookings for first class travel are for one round trip only – to take advantage of our ‘hop-on-hop-off’ service, with unlimited travel throughout the day, check out our Steam Day Rover tickets (£19 per adult, £9.50 per child, travel in standard coaches only).

Add a little something to your booking with our cream teas, afternoon teas, prosecco or bacon roll & a hot drink options, which will be available to collect from the café from 30 minutes before your departure time.
