The charming village of Arrowtown is a living settlement and the town and nearby locations are the source of many wonderful stories. More than just a sightseeing tour, our guides help bring Arrowtown and the surrounding area to life.
Visit Queenstowns most scenic locations including Arrowtown, the Chinese Settlement and the Bungy bridge. Discover the amazing history and scenery and flavours.
We start with a visit to the Wakatipu lookout – one of the most beautiful views of Queenstown we know.
On to something surprising and different – sampling different kinds of honey at the Buzzstop, a working honey farm and cafe in a cool, converted shearing shed. Fascinating and family-friendly, many people say it’s their tour highlight. You’ll have a new appreciation for bees.
While you’re still buzzing from the last stop, we swing by for a peep at photogenic Lake Hayes (the mirror lake), before heading into Arrowtown itself.
We’ll take you on an informative journey past the Chinese Village, the old Gaol and the lookout; we also give you tips on where the best photo opportunities are. We know you’ll want to stretch your legs at this point and follow your nose to what most interests you, so we drop you off for some free time to explore, shop and eat. Everything is within easy walking distance.
Then it’s time for a visit to spectacular Kawerau Bridge – bungy jump central and also one of our favourite LOTR (Lord of the Rings) locations, before a spot of wine-tasting at a local vineyard (vineyard changes depending on availability). We return to Queenstown the scenic way, past the famous Shotover river. These days it’s best known for thrilling rides on the Shotover jet, but it was once the richest gold-bearing river in the world.
