A salt-tinged wind threads through River Street as you step out of The Pirates' House and into a story that insists you play a part. Cobblestones clack underfoot, gulls wheel over the water, and the city’s brick façades seem to whisper the next clue — a scavenger hunt braided into Savannah’s waterfront life.

The game begins at The Pirates' House restaurant and concludes at Rousakis Plaza along River Street; both are easy to find on the waterfront.
Yes—challenges are family-friendly and portions of the route are stroller-accessible, though cobblestones may be bumpy.
No—clues use public markers and monuments; any optional entrances (museums) require separate admission.
The tour is self-guided and can be paused or resumed anytime; bring rain gear for light showers—heavy storms may make waterfront walking uncomfortable.
Savannah’s riverfront grew into a commercial hub in the 18th–19th centuries; old warehouses and the Cotton Exchange reflect its central role in the cotton trade and maritime shipping.
Historic preservation rules protect many waterfront façades and limit new construction; visitors should stick to marked paths and avoid climbing on monuments to reduce wear.
