About Savannah Theatre
Savannah Theatre is a restored 1940s Art Deco performance venue delivering a year-round lineup of musicals, comedy, variety shows and community fundraisers. Located in the heart of Savannah, the theatre programs family-friendly productions such as SHREK THE MUSICAL, Elf the Musical and Little Shop of Horrors alongside adult-oriented nights like “Ghosted” IMPROV, Menopause the Musical, and Divas through the Decades. The historic lobby houses a museum with artifacts, photographs and historical newspaper clippings that document the theatre’s cultural legacy and architectural significance. Savannah Theatre partners with local companies and touring productions — from Savannah Children’s Theatre and Serendipity Theatre Co. to Kinsmen & Co. — to present diverse work including Jersey Boys, Million Dollar Quartet, Hairspray and seasonal classics. The venue also hosts community-minded events such as Savannah’s Got Talent benefit concerts that support youth camp programs. With careful restoration preserving original Art Deco details, a full calendar of ticketed performances, and a reputation for both family entertainment and late-night laughs, Savannah Theatre provides dependable, memorable live experiences for residents and visitors. Ticketed seating is limited for many special events and holiday shows; advance reservations are recommended to secure preferred dates and seating sections.
