More info

This is a typical itinerary for this tour

➤ Oia: Begin your sightseeing adventure in the north of the island, at the scenic village of Oia: one of Santorini’s most visually striking locations, the village has long inspired artists with its beauty and sits overlooking the island’s caldera.

➤ Firostefani: Make a short stop in Firostefani to see the famous Blue Dome Church, the subject of so many Santorini postcards.

➤ Akrotiri Archaeological Site: Santorini is also home to its own ancient ruins: the site of Akrotiri, an ancient Minoan village that was buried by the island’s colossal volcanic eruption. Don't miss the chance to see the incredible, well-preserved remnants of the settlement for yourself. (optional visit)

➤ Black Beach: Head south to admire the Black beach. Enjoy an optional lunch at a seaside restaurant, such as fresh seafood with a Greek salad, on the beach.

➤ Monastery of Profitis Ilias (highest point): Head to Profitis Ilias, which is the highest hill in Santorini. From its top (567 m) enjoy the panoramic view of the Aegean Sea. There, you will get to visit a Greek Orthodox chapel, listen to the sounds of Byzantine music, and get a taste of their hand-made products.

➤ Local Winery: Lastly, wind your tour down with an indulgent stop at a local winery. Santorini has produced its own wine since ancient times, and sampling its varietals is the perfect way to get a taste of the island’s history. (optional visit)

➤ The above itinerary is provided as an example only. The sights and attractions provide an idea of things to do during your tour and can be adjusted on the day to suit your personal interests. Note that bespoke itineraries and custom additions to the tour are also available.

On Greek Ancient Sites such as Akrotiri, your local driver is not permitted to guide you inside as only official Greek Archaeologists are able to do so. During your tour, you may ask your local driver to drop you off at the Akrotiri site's entrance if you wish to explore it on your own.

Santorini’s Aegean sun can be intense, especially around midday. Carry water and apply sunscreen during outdoor excursions.

Customize Your Tour Interests

Communicate your preferences beforehand—whether archaeology, scenic views, or local cuisine—to make the most of your private experience.
