Santorini’s caldera is the remnant of a massive volcanic eruption that reshaped the island and created the steep cliffs that define Imerovigli’s views.
Stick to marked paths and avoid trampling vegetation or climbing fragile walls; local communities manage foot traffic to limit erosion on the caldera rim.
