About
Fira is a city of whitewashed houses built on the edge of the 400 meters above the caldera on the western edge of the semi-circular island of Santorini. The town hosts a number of churches including the Orthodox Cathedral of Ypapanti, built on the positioning of an earlier church destroyed within the 1956 Amorgos earthquake, and the Catholic Cathedral officially known as the Catholic Church of Koimisi Tis Theotokou.
Our next stop is at the village of Firostefani where the houses are built on the caldera cliff. The characteristic of the village is its narrow, paved paths. Our last visit will be at the famous village of Oia . You have a great chance for extraordinary photos of a village with a very unique architecture known all over the world. Do not miss it!
