A warm wind moves the dunes like a slow tide as you step off the bus and feel sand under your boots — this is Sandbanks Provincial Park, where broad beaches give way to rolling white dunes and a lake that can look as clear as glass. On arrival day the group unloads beside pine and poplar; tents are demonstrated, dinner is served over an open flame, and a small circle of light marks the evening’s campfire.
