Standing on a wooden platform, wind slicing through epiphytes and the cloud forest dropping away beneath you, the world narrows to a single cable and a long run of green. At San Luis Adventure Park the ride starts that simply: step, lean, and glide across spans that slice through primary and secondary cloud forest, with rivers and ridgelines flicking past below.
moderate.
6–8 hours.
Moderate—comfortable walking, climbing short ladders and standing on platforms; not suitable for significant mobility issues.
Platforms range from about 3 to 106 meters above ground and cables vary from roughly 50 to 550 meters, offering short and long runs with different exposure and speeds.
No—professional guides provide instruction and harnessing; a moderate fitness level is recommended but no technical skills are required.
Children are welcome but ages and weights are required at booking; some elements have minimum age/weight or may be restricted for safety.
Tours may be rescheduled or canceled for heavy rain or unsafe wind; morning slots reduce the likelihood of weather disruption.
The park is part of Costa Rica’s broader ecotourism development over the last 30 years, converting steep farmland and secondary growth into protected recreational corridors that support local guides and communities.
Operators emphasize low-impact routes and certified equipment; staying on established platforms and trails helps protect regenerating understory and nesting sites.
Expediciones Tropicales Day Tours operates guided outdoor trips and adventures with an emphasis on safety, stewardship, and memorable experiences.
