About

Join us at some of our beautiful local beaches in San Diego, CA, as we work together to clean up our community! Every month, we focus on a different area, and your participation can make a significant impact on the health of our waterways and oceans.

Here are some important details:

  • Volunteers of all ages are welcome! Please bring your own reusable cleaning supplies such as buckets, gloves, and grabbers since we are unable to provide them at this time.

  • On the day of the cleanup, one of our Naturalists will meet you to kickstart your volunteer service.

  • As a token of our gratitude, San Diego Whale Watch will provide the FIRST 30 volunteers with a FREE pass to join us for a thrilling whale watching adventure! We kindly request two things in return: first, please spread awareness about your efforts by posting a group photo on Facebook or Instagram, and second, track the trash collected using the CleanSwell app. The app's link will be provided in the confirmation email.

  • Feel free to get creative with your photos! Capture moments of you picking up litter, trash in the environment, or proudly displaying full buckets of collected trash.

Don't forget to tag @sdwhalewatch and include the following three hashtags in your posts: #sdwhalewatch, #beachcleanup, #plasticpollution.
