The day begins before dawn: a 4x4 bumps through Panama’s low coastal scrub while the Caribbean light brightens the horizon, and by mid-morning you’re cutting across glass-blue water toward a scatter of coral islands.

Moderate fitness for day-long travel, short swims, and boarding boats; must be able to climb into/out of small boats and move across sandy, uneven terrain.
Pickup is typically around 5:00 AM from Panama City with a 2–2.5 hour drive to the port; the excursion returns mid- to late-afternoon (around 3:15–3:30 PM).
Basic masks and snorkel tubes are provided; beginners are welcome but should communicate with guides and stay within designated shallow areas if uncomfortable in open water.
Facilities are limited; some islands have basic latrines. Use the restroom before boarding and bring hand sanitizer and toilet paper just in case.
