Adventure tips

Arrive EarlyPlan to be at the Salt Palace Convention Center 10–15 minutes before departure to board smoothly and secure an upper-deck seat.

Layer UpEven in summer, nights by the valley can be cool—bring a light jacket for the open upper deck or the overlook stop.

Low-Light PhotographyUse a fast lens or steady hand for night shots; small tripods are allowed for the overlook stop but avoid flash that disturbs other guests.

AccessibilityThe bus and stop are wheelchair accessible, but notify the operator of needs ahead of booking to ensure the best boarding options.

Recommended gear

Light jacket or windbreaker: Keeps you comfortable on the upper deck and at the overlook when temperatures drop after sunset.
Comfortable shoes: Good for the short off-bus stop and walking around the overlook platform.
Compact camera or smartphone with low-light capability: For capturing illuminated cityscapes—use a fast lens or night mode for best results.
Reusable water bottle: Stay hydrated before and after the tour; bottled water is provided onboard but a refillable bottle is handy.
