About Our Float Trips

  • Our float trips on the Provo River and Weber River provide anglers with a one-of-a-kind opportunity to experience these remarkable waters. While many choose to wade these rivers, few realize the exceptional advantages that come with floating them instead.

  • Floating opens up a world of benefits for anglers. By drifting along, you’ll cover miles of river rather than being limited to a single walk-in spot. Fishing from our boats also makes Utah’s world-class fly fishing accessible to anglers with limited mobility, offering a comfortable seat to enjoy the action. In the summer, casting large hoppers tight to the bank brings thrilling, aggressive strikes from the rivers’ abundant trout. For those new to fly fishing or looking for consistent action, nymphing from the boat produces fish every day of the year.

  • Whether you’re an out-of-state angler excited to explore a new canyon or a local wanting to see your home river from a fresh perspective, our expert Utah fishing guides are here to deliver an unforgettable day of float fishing on the Provo River or Weber. Join us for an adventure you won’t forget!

What to Expect

  • The Provo and Weber Rivers’ smaller size calls for specialized equipment, which is why we use three-man Flycraft boats for our float trips. These boats are expertly designed to navigate narrower waters while providing ample space for two anglers and a guide to fish comfortably.

  • We run float trips whenever river flows allow, requiring a minimum of 350 cfs. This typically aligns with mid to late spring through the end of September. High water flows often create prime conditions for floating the Provo and Weber. As riverbanks become inaccessible to wade anglers—many of whom hang up their rods during these times—the fishing remains outstanding. Trout stack up in every small current break, and floating gives us unmatched access to these hotspots, even in high water.
