About This Adventure

Duration

About

During this charter, guests will be fishing for hard hitting Alaskan salmon. Ketchikan is home to all 5 species of pacific salmon and from mid-May through the end of September fish are moving into the proximity of town preparing to spawn. This makes for quick boat rides to the fishing grounds and new fish showing up daily.

Fishing is generally done by trolling hoochies and flashers, cut bait, or spoons by means of electric down riggers. Mooching for salmon is another effective tactic used, but is best done when the coho salmon are at their peak. Talk with your guide about what tactic will be best before your trip!
