About

Nestled into the high desert of Southern Idaho lies one on Idaho’s best Walleye locations. Salmon Falls Creek Reservoir is well know in the southern Idaho area as a great place to chase Walleye. A number of the past state record walleye have been taken out of this system, and many believe that the next state record may be swimming there now. This fishery kicks off as soon as the ice clears, and continues to fish well until the ice returns late in the fall and early winter.

Located only 45 minutes South of Twin Falls, 2 1/2 hours from Boise, and 3 hours from Idaho Falls, Salmon Falls Creek Reservoir is a much more local option for our Southern Idaho Customers to get their walleye fix, and presents a great option for anglers wanting to fish for walleye, but not wanting to drive all the way to the Columbia River. If wanting to stay overnight there are dry camping options, and plenty of hotels in Twin Falls. Jackpot, Nevada is also a great place to stay and can offer up a unique experience of fishing and gambling all in one trip.

In addition to Walleye, Salmon Falls Creek Reservoir is also a fantastic trout, and bass destination. We often catch trout in the 16-20 inch range and lots of bass when targeting walleye. This multi species fishery provides a great opportunity for a mixed bag of fish to take home. The limit is 6 walleye/ person with only one over 20 inches. On our boats we strongly advocate for customers to release all walleye over 24 inches as these are our spawning fish, and we want to do our part to have a healthy fishery. Normally we catch plenty of smaller fish to fill the freezer and a picture of a trophy walleye goes much further that putting it in the freezer. In addition to walleye the Trout limit is 6/person ( no size restrictions), and the limit on Bass is 6 with none under 12 inches.
