A cold dawn on the Kathmandu Valley road dissolves into terraced fields and the slow climb toward Sailung’s grassy ridges. You leave the city traffic for a six-hour drive into Ramechhap, then trade engine noise for shepherds’ calls and the creak of bamboo poles. Over 14 nights you move through small Tamang and Sherpa settlements — Pasiban, Tek Sing and Solambu — where farm tracks, rice terraces and rhododendron forests dictate the day’s rhythm.
