The engine eases and the salt air takes over as Faro Marina recedes; sun on the water, low dunes ahead. Over six hours this boat tour moves through the Ria Formosa — a shallow, shifting lagoon system where sandbars and channels rearrange with tides and wind. You’ll stop at Ilha Deserta (the southernmost point of continental Portugal), pass the Saint Mary lighthouse village on Culatra, and spend time ashore in Culatra village, a working fishing community with brightly painted houses and salt-flattened alleys.
