About This Adventure

Embark on an unforgettable 6-day liveaboard sailing adventure, mastering the art of skippering a keelboat. Experience hands-on training, explore uninhabited Bird Island, and sail to Bald Head Island. With expert instruction and a focus on safety and seamanship, this course promises to elevate your sailing skills in stunning coastal waters.

6 Days/5 Nights Liveaboard $5100 per couple/pair $1500 per additional student 4 student maximum aboard Classes begin on Monday of each week.

This course requires a non-refundable $500 deposit. Once received, all instructional materials will be mailed to you.

Final payment is due twenty-one (21) days before you arrive and is paid via emailed invoice.


103 teaches you to skipper a sloop-rigged auxiliary powered 25'-35' keelboat by day in moderate winds and sea conditions. Learn cruising sailboat terminology, basic boat systems, auxiliary engine operation, docking procedures, intermediate sail trim, navigation rules, basic coastal navigation, anchoring, weather, safety and seamanship.

This course includes anchoring at least one night at un-inhabited Bird Island along with a 25nm each way sail to Bald Head Island, NC and back.

104 teaches how to sail a sloop-rigged, auxiliary powered 30'-45' sailboat during a multi-day cruise upon inland/coastal waters in moderate/heavy winds and sea conditions. Learn about provisioning, boat systems, auxiliary engines, advanced sail trim, coastal navigation, anchoring / mooring, docking, emergency operations, weather, and more.
