To gain an SLC certificate, the candidate must pass a suite of theoretical knowledge courses and tests appropriate for bareboat chartering, log sufficient sailing experience, and demonstrate sailing skills according to internationally established sailing standards. These written tests are provided through NauticEd OnLine Education. We administer the on-the-water practical check-outs upon completion of the written tests.
