About

Looking for something a little bit different? Look no further than Cricket Sailing Trips, a traditional wooden lobstering vessel common along the Maine coast about 100 years ago. U.S. Coast Guard licensed captain Grant Hubbard, an Ogunquit native, offers a lifetime of experience navigating the local coastline. Grant will sail you along the Ogunquit shoreline to Bald head Cliff in York and down to the Ogunquit beaches, using only sail and oar power. Perfect for families, couples, friends – anyone who enjoys a unique experience in a beautiful setting. Come out for a sail and see why so many make it part of their annual tradition. The Cricket carries 2 – 6 passengers.

Please Note: We require at least 2 passengers to book into this trip in order to go out on the water. If we don't receive this minimum we will reach out to reschedule.

A Piece of Ogunquit History

Inspired by the Love of Maine’s Coastline Oscar Hubbard, a sixth generation native, along with his wife Eleanor; started Finestkind Scenic Cruises in the summer of 1956 to share their love of the unrivaled beauty of the Maine coastline. What started as a one boat operation running from the town dock has grown into a fleet of three well-maintained motor vessels with a busy summer schedule of over fifteen trips a day.

Responding to the ever increasing demand, the Hubbards added more trips and expanded the operating season to meet the needs of their customers. Finestkind Scenic Cruises currently operates May 1 through mid-October and has a variety of different trips and departure times to make it easy for everyone to include a trip along the Maine coast in their vacation plans.
